Crispy chicken for a Kingsland café catch-up

There is a particular ease to ordering a few savoury extras at a café table. They give a quick visit a little more substance, and make a longer catch-up feel less like everyone has to choose the same kind of meal. Crispy chicken is one of those flexible options: straightforward, shareable and comfortably casual.

What is on the current crispy chicken menu?

On the current Little Q menu, Crispy Chicken is served with sweet chilli sauce. The Super Fried menu also includes Crispy Chicken + Chips / Wedges, served with either aioli and sweet chilli sauce, or sour cream. For a simpler side, there are straight-cut chips and kumara chips, both served with aioli and tomato sauce, as well as seasoned wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce.

Those choices make it simple to match the table rather than force one big decision. Someone might add a side to a coffee stop, while another person chooses a full all-day meal. The order can meet in the middle.

A savoury option for an unhurried table

Good café food does not always need to be a centrepiece. Sometimes it is the extra plate that keeps a conversation going: something warm to share alongside your main meal, or a familiar savoury option when the group has different appetites.

If you are meeting after work, between errands or before a nearby plan, a menu with both full meals and sides lets each person keep their order simple. It is an easy way to turn a short stop in Kingsland into a proper pause.
